United Nations in Boston, and also served as the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Maryland Student Legislature, a simulation of the Maryland state government. Brian graduated with his B.A. in Political Science in May 2000. Brian also attended the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University, where he earned his Master of Arts in Political Management. Brian has been active in working to further the Republican Cause in Anne Arundel County. He has worked actively supporting the campaigns of Phil Bissett, former Delegate Terry Gilleland, County Councilman Ron Dillon, and Delegate Nic Kipke, as well as being a proud member of the Anne Arundel County Bush-Cheney '04 team. He has also served as the Vice-President of the North County Republican Club, and the Communications Director for the Young Republicans of Anne Arundel County. Brian has been an active member of the Maryland blogosphere, launching Anne Arundel County’s first political weblog in January 2005. Since then, his work has been cited on RedState, the Columbia Journalism Review, PolitickerMD.com, and the Baltimore Sun. He is a Contributing Editor to RedMaryland, one of Maryland’s most widely read and influential blogs and has produced a number of video podcasts entitled The Brian Griffiths Minute. He is also a regular contributor to Conservative Refuge Podcast, hosted by Greg Kline. Brian is also regularly featured on The Word on the Street with Warren Monks and a Co-Host of RedMaryland Radio, both on WAMD AM 970 in Aberdeen. In the Community, Brian has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Student Legislature, Inc., an incorporated non-profit 501(c)3 education organization since 2006. MSL works to educate college students about the legislative process, and encourage them to be engage in their communities. Prior to his term as Chairman, he served for six years as President of the Maryland Student Legislature Alumni Association. Brian resides in Pasadena. |

Brian Griffiths has lived his entire life in Anne Arundel County. Born in Baltimore, Brian and his parents lived in Jessup prior to moving to Pasadena in 1983. Brian attended Jacobsville Elementary and Chesapeake Bay Middle School, before graduating from Chesapeake High School in 1997. As a boy, he was a member of Cub Scout Pack 478 and Boy Scout Troop 770. As a Scout, he earned the Arrow of Light and the God and Me Award. At Chesapeake, Brian was a member of the "It's Academic" team, the Drama Club’s Stage Crew, the International Thespian Society, and the National High School Slavic Honor Society. After high school, Brian attended Western Maryland College in Westminster, MD. In college, Brian was instrumental in reestablishing the College Republicans. Brian participated in the Harvard Model |
